In May of 2025 3rd Street Bethel AME partnered with VAIPL and CBF to green their faith community. With participation from the 3rd Bethel AME justice ministry and garden team, VAIPL and CBF upgraded 8 wooden raised beds to 10 galvanize raised beds and a 40 gallon cistern.

Invasive trees were removed and replaced with native trees that can thrive.  3rd Street Bethel has held several workshops and garden trainings that expands across the congregation.
